2nd Shift Facility Repair Worker
Cardinal Stritch University seeks a Facilities Repair Worker to join the Facilities team. The Facility Repair Worker performs all duties associated with and relating to the upkeep of the University equipment, buildings and grounds. This 2nd shift (2pm to 10:30pm) position includes weekends.
The job involves: all repairs and maintenance related to the exterior of the buildings and grounds, all repairs and maintenance related to the interior of the buildings, snow removal, ice control and salting of roadways and sidewalks, repair of physical plant mechanical and maintenance equipment and the individual will be required to be knowledgeable of and abide by all procedures for handling of hazardous waste, biohazard waste and recycling waste.
To be able to perform this job successfully the individual is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and reach, occasionally required to stoop, crouch or bend and must be able to lift up to 80 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to: wet and /or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions, and risk of electrical shock; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
