Full-time Associate Professor in the School of Leadership
We are seeking two tenure track Associate Professors in the
School of Leadership who will actively contribute to the vision, mission and
goals of the School. Each position requires an excellent track record of
leadership experience in complex organizations, along with strategic thinking
and systems planning. At the Associate level a vita that reflects scholarship
through presentations and publications is expected along with evidence of
excellence in teaching adult learners and service through partnerships with
internal and external communities.
Additionally, a full-time faculty member is expected to contribute to
Cardinal Stritch University, a community of scholars dedicated to teaching,
scholarship and service of the university that advances the mission,
reputation, and capacity of their college and department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The faculty member teaches a full load,
participates in scholarly and professional activities, and provides service to
the university, college, department and greater community. The faculty member models professionalism,
collegiality, collaboration and confidentiality.
- Models excellence in teaching and the facilitation of learning.
- Writes, revises and submits syllabi
that reflect a high level of content knowledge and learning processes that
stimulates student learning at the doctoral level.
- Provides consistent and excellent feedback to students in the form of formative and summative assessments.
- Advises doctoral students in a
successful process of dissertation research.
- Selects stimulating and
creative teaching materials, including cutting edge use of technology as
tools for learning.
- Is of service to students to
facilitate their learning through timely communications, extensive
feedback and supportive interactions.
contributes to development and review of curriculum in collaboration with
a scholarly knowledge-base by extensive research and writing.
membership, participation and leadership in professional societies.
expertise in guiding university, college and/or department in
and maintains an extensive networking relationship with professional, business
and other external community leaders.
grant writing teams that support the work of the department.
and substantively contributes to department and college meetings as scheduled.
in successful student recruitment activities.
volunteers to serves on ad hoc and standing committees that serve the
department and university.
excellent service to students from intake advising and support through program
exit and job placement or advancement.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: The individual shall hold a Ph.D. or Ed.D. in
their discipline of study. The individual shall have administrative/leadership
experience with proven success in complex organizations. The individual shall have demonstrated
knowledge of their field of expertise.
Also required is a commitment to Catholic higher education in the
Franciscan tradition. The individual
