Cardinal Stritch University is seeking applications for a full-time Head Coach for the Track/Field and Cross Country programs. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  The Head Track and Field and Cross Country Coach is responsible for the duties and responsibilities associated with leading and coaching a competitive NAIA men’s and women’s cross country/track and field program.  Duties include, but are not limited to: coaching (practice and meets), recruiting, fundraising, student-athlete development, supervision of assistant coaches and scheduling.  The successful candidate must be fully committed to all Cardinal Stritch University, NAIA, Chicago Collegiate Athletics Conference (CCAC), and Athletics Department policies and procedures and will be expected to work cooperatively with all constituencies and campus units.

 

Qualifications/Experience:  Significant cross country and/or track and field coaching experience at a NAIA or NCAA institution with a proven record of success. Proven record of successfully recruiting college-level academically and athletically prepared student-athletes. Demonstrated technical expertise in the instruction associated with cross country and/or track and field events. Proven record of successful leadership and management of the multiple responsibilities associated with a competitive collegiate cross country and/or track and field program, e.g. supervision of assistant coaches, budgeting, recruiting, fundraising, scheduling and student-athlete development. College or University head coaching experience in Track/Field/Cross Country preferred. Competitive experience at the College or University level is preferred.

 

Education:  Bachelor’s degree from accredited institution of higher educations, possessing outstanding written, verbal & interpersonal communication skills.
