Web Administrator/Developer

Provide administration, maintenance, and day to day support of the University’s web environments.  Provide assistance with the development and support of applications to interface between the university’s ERP system and approved third party internal/external systems. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage, support and maintain the University’s current portal, main marketing site, and other enterprise related web services and application interfaces
  • Test and apply portal and other web application upgrades and patches including a review of changes to identify impact of change, diagnose problems and resolve issues with proposed changes
  • Assist with the development, support and maintenance of all enterprise interface applications to ensure the successful and timely integration of data with approved third party enterprise solutions
  • Assist with the creation and maintenance of single sign on technologies to university approved third party applications
  • Work with end users, enterprise team and other technical staff to analyze and resolve problems relating to a variety of business processes and systems
  • Provide backup, recovery and proactive monitoring to ensure services are available and secure with minimum downtime
  • Collaborate with members of the enterprise systems team on the design or update of database objects to promote efficient use of University data
  • Develop and modify technical documentation to support operations and new/changed applications
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field; or two – three years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Two years’ experience in web application experience preferably with C#
  • Prior experience with HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, ASP.NET 3.5 – 4.5
  • Experience with SQL Server 2008/2012 database development and design

Preferred Education and/or Experience:

  • Windows Server 2008/2012 experience highly preferred
  • Prior work experience in Higher Education highly preferred
