Bachelor of Arts in Writing

As an undergraduate degree, Stritch’s Creative Writing major makes possible a concentration on writing of all types, including poetry, fiction, persuasive and creative nonfiction, and screenwriting. In writing workshops, students will practice the craft of writing, while in literature classes they will learn about the rich history of the English language.

EN 208, 315, 316, 317, 333, 412, 415; one of the following EN 228, 315, 316, 317, 318, 319 (EN 315, 316, 317 may be repeated for credit); at least one of the following EN 303, 305, 325, 330, 335;  at least one of the following EN 304, 306, 340, 433;  at least one other 200-level or above literature class EN 205, 211, 213, 214, 215, 218, 219, 220, 303, 304, 305, 306, 327, 330, 333, 335, 340, 433; and three credits from EN 403, CA 209 or EN 400 (1-3) credits.
