Minors

Requirements for minors in Non-Teaching English, Secondary Teaching, Elementary Teaching, and Writing.

Non-Teaching English Minor: 24 credits

Required courses for Non-Teaching minor: EN 208 or 228; 305 or 306; 325; 330 or 335; 333 or 433; and three elective EN courses at 200-level or above.

Secondary Teaching minor: 27 credits + RLA 345

Required courses for a Secondary Teaching minor: EN 150; 207; 305; 306; 317; 325; 330; 335; 333 or 433; and RLA 345.

Elementary Teaching minor: 24 credits

Required courses for Elementary Teaching minor: EN 150, 207, 208, 303, 305 or 306; 317; 325; 333 or 433.

Writing minor: 24 credits          

Required courses for minor: EN 208, 315, 316, 317, 415;at least one of the following: EN 403 (to be taken for no more than 3 creditstotal), CA 209, or EN 400 (1-3 credits); and at least two elective courses (6credits) of the following EN 205, 211, 213, 214, 215, 218, 219, 220, 228, 303,304, 305, 306, 315, 316, 317, 318, 319, 325, 330, 333, 335, 340, 412, 433 (EN315, 316, 317 may be repeated for credit).
