Associate of Arts in General Studies
The Associate of Arts degree is awarded for the completion of a program in General Studies.
Students must earn a minimum of 64 credits and maintain a 2.0 ("C") average. All credits earned in the AA programs are applicable to a B.A. or B.F.A. degree.

Required Courses
| General Studies -- 40 credits from liberal arts core
* Historical, Religious, Philosophical Foundations (9) - One course in each area: History, Religious Studies, Philosophy
* Foundations of Human Society (6) - Two courses from any of the following: Economics, Geography, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology
* Natural Sciences and Mathematics (6-7) - One course in each area: natural science can be lab or non-lab course
* Literature, Fine Art and Theater (9) - One course in each of the three areas (Literature, Fine Art and Theatre)

Required Auxiliary Courses
| The student must take a minimum of nine elective credits in any area other than the area of concentration to total 64 credits. |
Additional Information
If a student does not have an area of concentration, the student must take a minimum of 24 elective credits in any areas to total 64 credits.
Study of a foreign language is strongly encouraged.
