Associate of Arts in General Studies

The Associate of Arts degree is awarded for the completion of a program in General Studies. Students must earn a minimum of 60 credits and maintain a 2.0 ("C") average. All credits earned in the AA programs are applicable to a B.A. or B.F.A. degree. The Associate of Arts degree is awarded for the completion of a program in General Studies. Core (General Education) Requirements:   A minimum of 36 credits

Additional Requirements: 

A minimum of 24 credits met by one of three options:

  • 12 credits in one academic area forconcentration and 12 elective credits;
  • 12 credits in an Advance CoreCertificate and 12 elective credits;
  • 24 elective credits.

Additional Information

If a student does not have an area of concentration, the student must take a minimum of 24 elective credits in any areas to total 64 credits. Study of a foreign language is strongly encouraged.
