The Music program at Stritch is Wisconsin’s only all‐Steinway school. We offer a Bachelor of Arts in Music degree with concentrations in performance and composition and a Master of Music in Piano degree.

The Music program also offers coursework in conjunction with the College of Education and Leadership for students who would like to be certified to teach music at the Early Childhood-Adolescence level (grades K-12).  For teacher certification, students complete a major in theater and a major in Secondary Education.

Programs in the Music Department offer small class sizes, individualized instruction, career guidance, and a wide range of performance opportunities with outstanding conductors and instructors. Faculty members are nationally recognized performing artists, teachers and mentors.

Performance Ensembles

The Concert Choir and Instrumental Chamber ensembles are open by audition to all Stritch students with consent of the director. Non‐music majors who register for these ensembles may qualify for a music performance scholarship.
