Courses within the Music Program offer small class sizes, individualized instruction, and a wide range of performance opportunities with outstanding conductors and instructors. Faculty members are nationally recognized performing artists, teachers, and mentors.

Performance Ensembles

The Concert Choir, Orchestra, and Wind Ensemble are open to all Stritch students. In order to obtain permission to register for any of these ensembles, interested students must pass an audition, which also makes them eligible for a Performing Arts scholarship.

If you are interested in participating in music opportunities as a Stritch student, please complete our questionnaire.

Lesson Instruction

Our music faculty includes master teachers, performing artists, and members of the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra. Students have access to rehearsal rooms and Steinway pianos in the beautiful Stein Center for the Fine Arts. Lesson instruction is available in the following applied topics and performance concentrations: flute, oboe, bassoon, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, French horn, trombone, euphonium, tuba, percussion, violin, viola, cello, bass, voice, piano, accompanying, chamber music, and composition.

Although we continue to offer a wide variety of ensemble experiences, private lessons, and a number of music courses, we no longer offer degrees in music. Review our list of degrees for another program within this college.
