Master of Arts (M.A.) in Clinical Psychology

    Apply online for free.

  • Official Transcripts
    Official transcripts (from every college or university attended) must be submitted in a sealed envelope directly to the Office of Graduate Admissions. We suggest that you request your transcripts as soon as possible. Your application cannot be reviewed until we have them in hand. It is not necessary to request transcripts for work that you completed at Cardinal Stritch University.

    Please note that our admissions requirements include having earned a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university (all applicants must have completed General Psychology, Abnormal Psychology, Research Methods, and Statistics).  In addition, applicants must have an undergraduate grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (minimum 3.0 in psychology courses). International students must possess an IELTS of 6.5 or a TOEFL of 79 in order to be considered for full admission into the Clinical Psychology master's program.

  • Three Letters of Recommendation
    Three letters of recommendation sent directly to the Office of Graduate Admissions. At least one, preferably two, letters of recommendation should be from current or former professors; the other recommendation(s) may be from an employer or a supervisor of paid or volunteer work in a psychology or social service area.

  • Personal Essay
    Two to four double-spaced typed pages describing reasons for seeking a graduate degree in clinical psychology. The essay should include details of past academic, employment, volunteer experiences in psychology, expectations for graduate education, and professional goals.

  • Personal Interview
    A personal interview with a graduate program faculty member will be scheduled after the Psychology Department has reviewed all other application materials.
