Peter J. Holbrook, Ph.D. is Dean of the College of Business and Management at Cardinal Stritch University and has over 27 years of experience in higher education. His expertise includes board development, organizational leadership and change, program development and evaluation, service, strategic thinking and planning, succession planning, and teams. Dr. Holbrook teaches at the doctoral level and is a researcher,writer, and speaker in the area of Leadership, with an expertise in the area of Franciscan, servant and transformational leadership as well as leading for innovation and change. He was a frequent guest expert on servant leadership for Morning Air on Relevant Radio 100.1 FM, and published, “The Leadership Story of St. Francis of Assisi: Toward a Model of Franciscan Leadership for Lay Leaders” in the January 2012 Association of Franciscan Colleges and Universities Journal: A Franciscan Perspective on Higher Education. Dr. Bruce Loppnow holds a Ph.D. in Organization and Management. He has been on the faculty of the College of Business and Management since 1994, initially as an adjunct member of the faculty in central Wisconsin. In 1999 Dr. Loppnow was invited to join the full-time faculty to provide academic support to the College locations in Rochester Minnesota and in the Twin Cities. Prior to joining the faculty, Dr. Loppnow was a hospital executive serving in various roles in hospitals in Wisconsin and with the Wisconsin Hospital Association.

Dr. Mark Gesner is the Faculty Chair of Community Engaged Learning and Leadership in Cardinal Stritch University’s College of Business and Management. He designs and teaches courses regarding organizational development, leadership and cross cultural management. Along with his teaching responsibilities, Dr. Gesner oversees the school’s business student internship program, leads international education seminars, and works closely with the school’s Dean and advisory board members to develop strategic leadership initiatives and foster community-campus partnerships. He is the host of the university’s Business Leaders with a Conscience Speakers Series in which successful alumni return to campus to discuss how their leadership approaches align with their values.
