MBA Health Care
Designed for those students who are interested
in acquiring the skills and competencies necessary to lead a health care
organization, the Master of Business Administration with a Concentration
in Health Care Management offers in-depth coverage of critical health care
topics such as regulatory issues, information management, human resource
management, and quality, safety, and outcomes measurement.
During each course, students apply theoretical
concepts to case studies based on classic and current issues found in the
health care industry. As with all courses in the College of Business and
Management, ethical principles are woven throughout the curriculum, providing
an opportunity for students to demonstrate examples of ethical decision-making
while addressing opportunities and challenges found in the health care
industry.
Students complete the
M.B.A. with a Concentration in Health Care Management by developing and presenting
a capstone paper that focuses on a health care strategy that supports the achievement
of an organizational goal. Students who complete the M.B.A. with a Concentration
in Health Care Management are well-prepared to assume the duties of middle- and
upper-level management positions in the health care industry.
