Admission Requirements

Bachelor's Completion in Early Childhood Education


Important Notice

As of spring 2015, we are no longer accepting new applications for this program. Review our list of degrees for another program within this college.

To be accepted to the Early Childhood Education bachelor's completion program at Stritch, students must: 

  • Apply for admission as a transfer student to Cardinal Stritch University
  • Submit official transcripts from every college or university attended in a sealed envelope to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions
  • Have an associate degree in Early Childhood (or equivalent courses) from an accredited college or university
  • Have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale from all prior college coursework
    (conditional/probationary acceptance may be granted on an individual basis)
  • Submit two completed  reference forms
  • Submit  proof of access to preschool children either as a classroom teacher or assistant
    (If not currently employed as either, the Early Childhood Education placement coordinator will arrange for an unpaid placement in an early childhood classroom with a Stritch partner)

Graduation Requirements

To qualify for graduation from the Early Childhood Education bachelor's completion program, students must:

  • Complete the course work with a 2.75 overall grade point average (GPA) on a 4.0 scale with no individual grade below a C-
  • Obtain faculty recommendation for graduation
  • Complete and pass all field experience courses
