Program Format

M.A. Inclusive Education


Initial Certification Track

Courses in the Master of Arts (M.A.) in Inclusive Education program are offered in the evening in a year-round format and utilize a cohort model. Students will complete the coursework and student teaching for both licenses in approximately two years. Classes meet face-to-face and in a blended online format twice per week.

Students also complete 150 hours of field experiences in PreK-12 regular and special education classrooms during regular school hours. Schools in area districts will be used for field experiences and student teaching placements. The master’s degree completion requires an additional eight credits after certification.

Extended Certification Track
