Master of Arts (M.A.) in Religious Studies

Admission Requirements

To qualify for admission to graduate studies at Cardinal Stritch University, you must have:

  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • A grade point average of 2.75 on a 4.0 system (probationary acceptance may be granted).
  • At least 12 undergraduate credits in religious studies or equivalent competencies.
  • A statement of purpose (two to three pages, double-spaced) describing your reasons for seeking a graduate degree in religious studies. This essay should consist of your qualifications, past academic and employment history relevant to the M.A. in Religious Studies degree program, expectations for graduate studies and professional goals.
  • An interview with the chair of the Religious Studies Department.
  • Applicants educated outside of the U.S. must follow academic admission procedures relating to English ability and credential evaluation described on the International Admissions web page.
