Master of Arts (M.A.) in Religious Studies

Degree Requirements

To qualify for graduation from the Master of Arts (M.A.) in Religious Studies program, you must:

  • Complete the coursework (30 credits) with at least a 3.0 overall grade point average with no individual course below a B-. Any course grade below a B- will not count toward the 30 credit requirement.
  • Complete and present to the religious studies faculty a final synthesis paper.
  • Pass oral and written comprehensive examinations.
  • Obtain a faculty recommendation for graduation.
  • Complete all requirements for the degree within seven consecutive academic years.
