Master of Arts (M.A.) in Visual Studies

Degree Requirements

To qualify for graduation from the Master of Arts (M.A.) in Visual Studies program, you must successfully accomplish the following:

  • Complete master’s coursework with a 3.0 overall grade point average on a 4.0 scale.
  • Develop a body of art work for exhibition.
  • Complete a successful oral defense of your exhibition.
  • Complete all requirements for the master’s degree within seven consecutive academic years.

  • ART 502 Textiles, 3 cr.
  • ART 506 Digital Imaging, 3 cr.
  • ART 510 Metals, 3 cr.
  • ART 507 Printmaking, 3 cr.
  • ART 590 Visual Thesis, 4 cr
  • Mount Thesis Show
