Podcasts

Students in the Intro to Broadcasting course in the department of Communication Arts have been busy learning how to write, report and edit audio news and feature stories. They cover stories that are of interest to young adults and the Stritch community.

Some of these stories are produced for the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association's College Radio News Network (www.wbacollegenews.net), a first-of-its-kind statewide network that allows college students from across the state to share audio stories for their on-air or Internet newscasts and talk shows.

If you'd like more information about courses, or if you have a story idea, please contact Communication Arts instructor Maryann Lazarski at mlazarski@stritch.edu.

Radio Lobo

Radio Lobo is Stritch's student-run Internet radio station. The station's mission is to inform, entertain, and educate the student body and online community. Radio Lobo provides students with creative and hands-on production experience. Students gain technical experience, produce content, host music, talk, sports or news programs, and help with reviewing music. For more information, visit the Radio Lobo Web site or contact Maryann Lazarski at mlazarski@stritch.edu.

Wolfprint Newspaper

The Wolfprint Online campus newspaper comes out bimonthly and features issues unique to the Stritch campus, as well as coverage of local, national, and international news. The paper provides opportunities for writers, editors, photographers and artists to learn the basics of newspaper production. All students can submit articles any time, but staff production roles (reporting, editing, advertising) function through the “Online Newswriting” class (3 credits). Please visit Wolfprint Online for more information or e-mail micarson@stritch.edu.
