Pre-Professional Certificate Programs Overview 

Pre-professional students will have the minimum requirements for application to the professional schools/colleges at the end of three years.Stritch offers pre-professional certificate programs in the follow areas:
  • Pre-Chiropractic
  • Pre-Dentistry  
  • Pre-Med
  • Pre-Optometry
  • Pre-Pharmacy
  • Pre-Vet
The three-year Pre-Professional Certificate Program satisfies the academic entrance requirements of most medical schools/colleges. Students will have the minimum requirements for application to the professional schools/colleges at the end of three years provided they follow the specified curriculum sequence designed for the program.
 
For those wishing to apply for medical school, students must declare their intention to either remain with the pre-professional certificate program or complete the biology/chemistry major by the middle of the first semester of the sophomore year. The University cannot guarantee completion of the certificate program in three years or the biology/chemistry major in four years unless the established curriculum sequence for the respective program is followed.
 
All medical, veterinary, or pharmacy schools require a high level of performance on the MCAT (Medical College Admission Test) or GRE (Graduate Record Examination) and a GPA of at least 3.4.
