Carole Hetzel received an M.S. degree in educational psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 1996 and a Ph.D. in psychology from Walden University in 2008. Her research interests focus on LGBT and gender issues from a social psychology perspective. Her current research projects include the effects of public opinion on personal attitudes and behavior toward lesbians and gay men, gender role expression of transgender individuals, and the personality profiles of at-risk college students. All of these projects are currently submitted for article publication in peer-reviewed journals. She has also presented papers on these topics at professional conferences over the past year.

Courses taught include: General Psychology, Lifespan of Human Development, Child and Adolescent Psychology, Adulthood & Aging, Cross-Cultural Psychology, Social Psychology, Psychology of Women, Gay and Lesbian Studies, History and Systems of Psychology.

Sarah Trost received her M.A. and Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Arizona and interned at the UW-Madison Department of Psychiatry before joining the Stritch faculty. She is a licensed psychologist. She teaches Psychopathology, Counseling & Psychotherapy, Health Psychology, Personality Theory, Fieldwork in Psychology, General Psychology, and Human Sexuality. Her research and clinical interests are in couples and health.

In addition to her faculty position at Stritch, she holds an appointment as a health psychologist at the Medical College of Wisconsin.

Terrance Steele earned his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees at Kansas State University and received a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Oklahoma.

He teaches courses in research methodology, biological psychology, and psychopharmacology. His research interests include the biological substrates of learning and memory and species-typical behaviors in captive animals.
