State Authorization

Federal and state regulations require that all institutions of higher education comply with existing state laws affecting the delivery of distance education (online and correspondence) degrees, programs and courses.

These regulations may limit Cardinal Stritch University’s ability to offer distance education opportunities to students whose physical presence is in a state other than Wisconsin. As these regulations are continuously evolving, Cardinal Stritch University makes every effort to maintain compliance.  Students seeking to enroll in an online education program who reside outside the state of Wisconsin, but within the United States, District of Columbia, and U.S. Territories (excludes international locations), should check the University’s state authorization status.

Authorized Authorized Pending

Authorized pending “Physical Presence” means that Cardinal Stritch University may be limited in providing programs or parts of programs in that state to its learners. “Physical Presence” could mean internship, externship, clinical, mentorship, student teaching, or ANY other type of field experiential component. In addition, programs in certain subject areas that require licensure or certification may require separate approvals. Examples of online programs that could have these components are: M.A. in Special Education; M.S. in Educational Leadership; Ph.D. and Ed.D. programs.

Authorized for approved College of Business and Management online programs.

Please note and be advised the states are subject to change AT ANY TIME as laws and regulations change.
