Perkins Loans
Policies and procedures for Perkins Loans.
Any federal student loans borrowed are submitted to the National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS) for required reporting purposes. This information is accessible by guaranty
agencies, lenders, and institutions determined to be authorized users of
the data system. The National Student Loan Data System
(NSLDS) provides information on your federal loan amounts, outstanding
balances, loan statuses and disbursements. You can access your loan information by going to NSLDS online.
Entrance Counseling: Federal regulations require all
first-time Perkins Loan borrowers to complete Perkins Loan Entrance
Counseling before receiving the loan disbursement. Entrance counseling
is a process that informs students about their rights and responsibility
as loan borrowers. You can complete entrance counseling by logging in
to your Onliine Aid Services Account.
Once you are in your account, please click on the Forms tab. You will
want to locate the Perkins Loan Entrance Counseling documents. You will
need to print this document and return the Perkins Loan Entrance
Interview Confirmation page to the Financial Aid Office.
