Our Admissions team would like to welcome you to Stritch! We can assist you through the application process.

1. English Language Proficiency

All applicants whose prior education was not conducted in English must demonstrate proficiency in one of the following ways: TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) score of 79 (Stritch TOEFL code is 1100).

IELTS (International English Language Testing System) score of 6.5.
2 semesters of successful US academic coursework (ESL courses not applicable).
WESLI (Wisconsin English as a Second Language Institute) 700-level course completion.

Applicants with an excellent command of English who have been residing in the U.S. for more than 5 years may apply for a TOEFL waiver.

2. Evaluation of academic credentials

United States-based transcripts should be sent directly from the former educational institution to the appropriate admissions office. (Office addresses are listed below.)

Non-US credentials (high school or university-level transcripts) must be submitted to a nationally accredited credential evaluation service to determine U.S. equivalency (list: www.naces.org). Stritch recommends using the World Education Service or ECE Evaluation Services. Foreign credentials must be sent directly from your prior school to the evaluation service, and from the evaluation service to the appropriate Stritch admissions office. Types of Evaluations:

A Document by Document evaluation will determine academic degree equivalency for admissions purposes.
A Course by Course evaluation will determine academic degree equivalency, eligibility for academic scholarships (undergraduates only), athletic team eligibility and allow for prior academic credit to be transferred in to a Stritch academic program.
