Prior Learning Assessment workshops cover options for prior learning credit as well as procedures for assembling a portfolio and preparing experiential learning essays. We will also assist you in identifying college-level learning experiences. Workshops are kept small to allow for individualized attention. Students are invited to bring documentation or other materials pertaining to non-collegiate learning experiences for discussion. Most workshops consist of a series of one-on-one appointments; however, group sessions may be facilitated depending on the number of students registered. Both current and prospective students are welcome to attend.
Workshops are typically held monthly and alternate between our sites in Brookfield and Madison. For a current schedule, see the table below. If a group of students is interested in requesting a visit outside of the dates below, please contact the Coordinator of PLA. If scheduling permits, such a visit can be accommodated.
To schedule a session, please contact the Coordinator of Prior Learning Assessment at (800) 347-8822, ext. 4092 or (414) 410-4092 (direct line). Email requests should go to firstname.lastname@example.org.
