Credit for Military/Armed Services Education Training
The Military Education Program, working in cooperation with the American Council on Education (ACE) and the Department of Defense (DOD), assists service men and women in achieving recognition for college-level learning acquired in military life. The University will evaluate and award credit from the military (Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, Navy, and Department of Defense) by applying Stritch transfer credit policies to ACE credit recommendations.
At time of application, students who are or have been members of an armed services branch should have an official ACE Registry transcript sent to Stritch for review. A maximum of 60 of the combined 60 credits allowable for all extra-institutional learning (30 toward an associates degree) may be awarded directly from ACE recommendations. Additional support documentation could include Forms DD 214, 225, or 259 if applicable. There is no fee for service members to have these official military documents assessed for credit.
To request that an official transcript from the ACE Registry Transcript Service be sent to Stritch, go to: http://aarts.army.mil/ (for Soldiers, reservists, veterans, Army National Guard members) or https://smart.navy.mil/ (for Sailors, Marines, and veterans).
For Community College of the Air Force transcripts, go to: http://www.au.af.mil/au/ccaf/transcripts.asp.
Coast Guard Institute transcripts may be requested using the form at http://www.uscg.mil/hq/cg1/cgi/forms/CG_Form_1561.pdf. You may access additional information regarding military transcripts and ACE evaluations at
