2012 January New Student Orientation Schedule
New student orientation is required for all freshmen students, both commuters and residents. It is also strongly suggested for all transfer students.
All events take place in the Sister Camille Kliebhan Conference Center, located in Bonaventure Hall, unless otherwise noted.
If you have not already done so, please don't forget to register online for this orientation.
8-9 a.m.: Registration/Check-in
Enjoy a complimentary breakfast, receive your student ID, register your car for parking, visit the campus bookstore, and meet other new and returning Stritch students.
9-9:15 a.m.: Opening Welcome
Receive a warm Stritch welcome from University administrators and a current Stritch student.
9:15-10:15 a.m.: A World of Services
Meet staff members from a variety of campus departments to learn about opportunities and services available to you at Stritch. Student services including the library and academic support, as well as recreation services, campus ministry, and student activities, are among the many departments represented here.
10:15-10:45 a.m.: Meet and Greet
Hear directly from current Stritch students about how to get connected to the Stritch community, learn about involvement opportunities, and interact with other new and returning Stritch students.
10:45-11:15 a.m.: Office of Information Services
Learn how to navigate all of the University’s online computer-based resources, and receive information about your Stritch Wolfmail account, computer labs, and technology services.
11:15-11:45 a.m.: Faculty Sessions
(Select the appropriate session based on your intended major)
Session A: Nursing majors will meet with a representative from the Ruth S. Coleman College of Nursing (takes place in Duns Scotus 106)
Session B: Non-nursing majors will meet a variety of faculty to hear about academic expectations and the classroom environment at Stritch.
11:45 a.m.: Campus Tours
An optional tour of campus will conclude the orientation program.
