Adopt-a-School Volunteer Program:
Each year, the Alumni Association will adopt a local school with demonstrated need. The school chosen for the 2013 academic year is St. Joseph Academy in Milwaukee. Read more about this new service initiative of the Alumni Association here. Below are our upcoming volunteer opportunities with the school.
- Upcoming Adopt-a-School Events-
The Alumni Association’s Adopt-a-School program for 2013-14 will kick off with a holiday festival at our partner school, St. Joseph’s Academy on Friday, Dec. 20 from 5-7 p.m. We are looking for volunteers to help staff the holiday festival and assist the school with holiday activities (cookie decorating, ornament making, etc.). If you are interested in volunteering for the Dec. 20 event, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or call (414) 410-4203.
- As part of the event, the Alumni Association is conducting a winter supply drive for the students of St. Joseph’s. Students are often in need of winter hats, gloves, boots, and coats during these colder months.
The Alumni Association will collect new or gently used winter wear items for St. Joseph Academy students through Dec. 18. Items can be dropped off at the Alumni Association office on campus or email email@example.com and we can arrange pick-up. The donated items will be delivered to the school during their holiday festival.
The school is in need of support to help set-up their library catalog system. If you have experience in doing this and can assist, please contact the Alumni Association office.
