School and Parish Programs
The Saint Clare Center provides a wide range of programs for Catholic parishes and schools.
Saint Clare Catechist Academy
Passing on our Catholic faith to the next
generation by serving as a catechist is a vitally important task. It is
also a wonderful opportunity to develop relationships with students, and to
grow in one's own faith. Like all lay ministers, catechists both need and
deserve high quality formation.
The Saint Clare Catechist Academy offers a
systematic program that provides a basic foundation of knowledge about our
Catholic faith and how to share it with others.
Sustaining
the Mission
Sustaining
the Mission is the designated/official program for the religious education
certification of Catholic school teachers in the Archdiocese of Milwaukee.
More than
2,000 elementary and secondary school educators working at all of the Catholic
schools of the Archdiocese are participating in the program. Sustaining the
Mission provides a systematic, coherent curriculum, delivered “in the field” during
scheduled teacher in-service days.
If you missed your school's second Sustaining the Mission in-service day this year, you can register here for the May 11th make-up session.
Faith
Formation Team Training
The Faith Formation Team Training
program (FFTT) is a program designed for those ministering in Catholic elementary or
secondary schools in the Archdiocese of Milwaukee.
Teams are trained and formed to work with the
spiritual needs of adult colleagues and the ongoing need of Catholic schools to
foster healthy and informed Christian communities of educators. Participants learn how to effectively develop
a yearlong plan of adult formation for their school community.
Parish
Adult Education Programs
In the
document Our Hearts Were Burning Within
Us, the U.S. Catholic Bishops remind us that adult faith formation must be
situated not at the periphery of the Church’s educational mission, but at its
center. Many parishes, though, feel they
need support and partners to help them to deliver adult religious
education. Parishes looking for quality
adult education programming can collaborate with the Saint Clare Center to
bring in speakers on a variety of topics.
