Stritch Serves Volunteer Initiative

The Stritch Serves volunteer initiative, led by the University’s Staff Development Committee (SDC), is a means of capturing the hours of volunteer service given by University staff and faculty to community organizations, churches, schools, nonprofits, local businesses, and other entities. In celebration of Stritch’s 75th anniversary, SDC seeks to share some of this basic information internally and externally throughout 2012.

Stritch alumni are invited to log their volunteer hours alongside those of faculty and staff.

Our goal is to have served 10,000 volunteer hours served by Dec. 31, 2012. This means that 10,000 hours at the standard estimated rate of $20 per hour for volunteer service translates to a total contribution of $200,000 worth of service to our communities. Stritch Serves surpassed its original goal of 7,500 hours of service in early October. As of Nov. 1, more than 8,800 hours have been recorded.

To log your hours, please fill out the form below. Only enter hours for a given month once. You don’t need to reenter hours for any month you have already submitted hours within, unless you have not logged any hours for the previous months in which you have served. There will be a reminder in the monthly Alumni E-News (subscribe here) to enter hours for the previous month. To view a listing of available opportunities, click here.
