Join us to reconnect with fellow grads!
Cardinal Stitch University is committed to staying connected with our Minnesota Alumni. Launched at our June 2, 2013 alumni event at the Minnesota History Center, we will be hosting quarterly alumni engagement events for all Minnesota Stritch alumni to enjoy. These events will focus on the three main topics: Social Networking, Professional Development, and Community Outreach/Involvement. Alumni events will take place in both the Twin Cities and Rochester/Owatonna, so traveling far distances to participate will not be a challenge.

April 2014 - Community Habitat for Humanity Build

Giving back to the community is a core value at Cardinal Stritch University. We are excited to bring our Alumni an opportunity to give back to the community through Habitat for Humanity. In Rochester we will be helping to build a home and in the Twin Cities we will be taking advantage of Habitat’s A Brush with Kindness program that helps qualified, low-income homeowners keep the homes they’ve owned and loved for years.

Rochester Area Habitat for Humanity

We will be helping to build one home in Rochester. The house you will be working on is for the Larson family. See additional Facts for First Time Construction Volunteers here.

Date: Thursday, April 24, 2014
Time: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. 
Location: 2876 Knollwood Drive SE, Rochester, MN

Cost: $15 per person (includes lunch, water and site donation). 

All materials used for the build will be provided by the site, there is no need to bring any materials with you.

Habitat for Humanity can accommodate 8 people, and you must remain for the entire length of your shift.

Twin Cities Area Habitat for Humanity – A Brush with Kindness

Rather than building a home from the ground up, the A Brush with Kindness program began in 1998 to help qualified, low-income homeowners keep the homes they’ve owned and loved for years. The projects are a mix of painting, safety upgrades, exterior weatherproofing, carpentry and landscaping. Clients involved in this program are seniors, veterans, people with disabilities, and single parents. See additional Facts for First Time Construction Volunteers here.

Date: Friday, April 25, 2014
Time: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Location: 4236 James Ave. N., Minneapolis 55412

Cost: $15 per person (includes lunch, water and site donation).

Help in welcoming the Class of 2014: Minnesota Alumni Boat Cruise on May 31

Join us in celebrating future Cardinal Stritch University alumni in Minnesota on Saturday, May 31. This year's alumni social celebration will be taking place on the Padelford Riverboat Cruise along the Mississippi River. For alumni, this event is a great opportunity for you to reconnect with classmates, build your alumni network, and help celebrate 26 years of making a difference in Minnesota! For graduating students, this is a great opportunity to attend your first alumni event and get connected right away.

The cruise will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Hors d'oeuvres will be provided along with music and a short presentation from University members. Check-in begins at 2 p.m. and we will begin boarding the cruise at 2:30 p.m.; all attendees must be on board by 3 p.m.

The cost to attend is $30 per person. Guests are welcome.

This is a great opportunity to reconnect and enjoy the river sites of the cities. Space is limited so registration is required for this event. RSVP by May 22, 2014 by registering online now!
