To better meet the needs of a diverse population of online students, the Board of Trustees approved a proposal to create the School of Continuing and Online Learning. The School, which officially launched in October, expands upon the innovative legacy of Stritch foundresses, the Sisters of St. Francis of Assisi.

“With our Franciscan values as the foundation, the School will help make learner-centered education more accessible through online learning,” said Dr. Hope Liu, dean of the School of Continuing and Online Learning. “Technology helps address geographic barriers to providing education, and we also will leverage it to develop pedagogical approaches to learning that will better serve our students.”

In addition to serving students enrolled in online degree programs, the School offers free courses in Google programs, as well as formative assessment.
