Faculty, staff, and alumni are
reminded to log their volunteer hours for the month of November as part of the
Stritch Serves volunteer initiative.
In celebration of Stritch’s 75th Anniversary,
the Staff Development Committee is recording the hours of volunteer service
performed by University staff, faculty, and alumni to community organizations, churches,
schools, nonprofits, local businesses, and other entities.
To date, more than 8,100 faculty and
staff and 1,800 alumni hours have been logged, for a total exceeding 9,900
service hours. This surpasses the initial goal of 7,500 hours set in January.
University President Dr. James Loftus has challenged the Stritch community to
aim for a new goal of 10,000 volunteer hours served, translating to a total
contribution of $200,000 worth of service to our communities.
