Faculty,
staff and alumni are reminded to log their volunteer hours for the month of September
as part of the Stritch Serves volunteer initiative.
In
celebration of Stritch’s 75th Anniversary, the Staff Development
Committee is recording the hours of volunteer service performed by University
staff and faculty to community organizations, churches, schools, nonprofits,
local businesses, and other entities. To date, more
than 7,500 hours have been logged, surpassing the initial goal set in January. University
President Dr. James Loftus has challenged the Stritch community to aim for a
new goal of 10,000 volunteer hours served, translating to a total contribution
of $200,000 worth of service to our communities.
