The Cardinal Stritch
University Board of Trustees recently elected four new members whose terms will
run through 2016: Real estate veteran Marianne Burish of Glendale, Kohl’s
executive Peggy Eskenasi of Milwaukee, Stritch alumna Sister Joanne Nicgorski,
OSF, ’65, of Cudahy, and real estate developer Michael Weiss of River Hills.

Eskenasi is a senior
executive vice president at Menomonee Falls-based Kohl’s, overseeing the company’s new beauty
initiative and all product development. Prior to joining Kohl’s in 2004,
Eskenasi, a 36-year retail industry veteran, held leadership positions with
Saks, Inc. and Frederick Atkins, a New York-based market research firm.
a native of New York, and received a bachelor’s degree from the University of
Nicgorski, OSF, ’65, is member of the Sisters of St. Francis of Assisi who for
many years taught grade and high school music in Milwaukee, Chicago, and Beirut.
In the diocese of San Diego for 13 years, she was music and program consultant
and then director of the Diocesan Center for Liturgy.
After 12 years at Loyola
University, Chicago as director of liturgy and music, she taught at the
People’s Music School, Chicago. She
received a bachelor’s degree in piano from Stritch, a master’s in music from
DePaul University, and a master’s in pastoral theology from Santa Clara University,
Weiss co-founded General
Capital, one of the most active real
estate development companies in Wisconsin. Among General Capital’s recent
projects are the Reed Street Yards water technology park and the Beerline B
Apartments. His real estate background includes
Citibank in New York and Midland Group in Cincinnati and Milwaukee.
