In January, the Alumni Association office welcomed Cindy
Marino into a newly created role as associate vice president for alumni and
community relations. The new role oversees alumni relations, community
relations, and communications.
“I am thrilled to have an opportunity to work with our
alumni in my new position,” said Marino. “As a former student and
employee, I am proud to represent Cardinal Stritch University.”

In this role, Marino will work closely with Joel Cencius, ’06, director of alumni relations and annual giving and the Alumni Board of
Directors in building a successful alumni program for the university. The new
role will also be vital in helping to revitalize a parent program for the association.
Since assuming the position, Marino has already had the
opportunity to attend events and meet with many alumni.
“If the wonderful basketball alumni reunion was an
indication of what is ahead, I am looking forward to many exciting occasions
for us to celebrate our connection with fellow Stritch graduates,” said Marino.
Marino has been an educator, serving in Milwaukee for close
to 20 years. She went on to spend eight years at Stritch as the executive
director of Outreach, leaving in 2003 to become the first lay president of Sr.
Joan Antida High School in Milwaukee.
“I am thrilled to be back at Stritch. It really feels like
‘coming home’ in so many ways,” said Marino.
Marino can be reached at (414) 410- 4544 or via email camarino1@stritch.edu.
