The Alumni Association welcomed five new members to its Board of Directors at
its first meeting of the year on Jan. 16. With the addition of these five new
members, the Alumni Board now has full representation with 20 directors and
four officers.
Phyllis Schaefer, ’91, ’93, ’95, ‘04 who is serving her first
full year in the role, leads the board as its president.
In addition to the new board members, the 2013
board officers also began their two-year terms and they include:
- President-elect: Zoreedua Perkins, ’06, ’08
- Vice President: Jill Braasch, ’93
- Secretary and Treasurer: Stuart Gilgannon, ’03
New board
members include:

Lisa Bangert, B.A. History, ’90
Lisa Bangert is currently a managing
shareholder and attorney with the Previant Law Firm, S.C. She was named a "Super
Lawyer" by Milwaukee Magazine in 2011
and 2012. Bangert also serves as a mediator with the Milwaukee County Family
Court Mediation Services.
In addition to her Stritch degree, Bangert holds a
law degree from Marquette University, a certificate in mediation from
UW-Madison and a certificate in collaborative family law. Bangert is very
active in the community, serving on a number of boards including the Betty Brinn Children's Museum and the school board of St. Monica’s in Whitefish Bay.

Nana Ama Korankye,
A.S. Nursing, ’01, B.S. Nursing, ’03
Originally from Ghana, Nana Ama
Korankye brings to the Alumni Board a nursing and international background. As the first graduate of the six-member Annor
family to attend Stritch, Korankye is currently a stay-at-home mom, previously
working as an RN in the city of Milwaukee for more than seven years. In 2008,
Korankye left the nursing field temporarily to raise her children and support
her husband’s new job opportunity in Mason City, Iowa.
In Iowa, Korankye served
as a member of the Mason City Mothers of Preschoolers Group (MOPS), an
international organization which provides support, education, and healthy parenting
techniques to mothers of preschoolers. She was also a member of the Mason City
Medical Alliance, which provides support to spouses of physicians, residents
and fellows in addition to doing community outreach work. Korankye has since
relocated back to Wisconsin.

Emily
Naczek, B.S. Education, ’06, M.A. Religious Studies, ’12
Having recently earned her master’s degree in religious studies from Stritch, Emily Naczek is currently an eighth grade
teacher at the St. Charles Borromeo Parish School in Milwaukee. She has worked
for the Archdiocese of Milwaukee since her graduation from Stritch in 2006.
Naczek is very active in her local parish (St. Eugene’s), serving as an adult
leader on youth mission trips, being involved in parish catechetical and music
ministries and serving on the parish council. Naczek also served on the
planning team for the Milwaukee Archdiocesan 2012 Teacher Convention.

Robert
Schubring, B.S. Strategic Management of Information Systems, ’10
Robert Schubring is an accomplished information technology executive with
extensive experience developing and supporting enterprise systems and
operations, solving complex business problems, and creating competitive
advantage through properly aligned technologies. He has a dynamic management
career with strong leadership, problem-solving, planning, team-building and
project management skills.
Currently, Schubring is vice president of information systems at WPS Health Insurance
with responsibility for all corporate data, voice, video and wireless network
services. Prior to coming to WPS in 2008, Schubring had 20 years of IT management experience in the banking and financial services industry.

Jill
Wellskopf, MBA, ’03
Jill Wellskopf is currently the
marketing director for Hupy and Abraham, S.C. in Milwaukee. She previously worked as the marketing
director for SPiN Milwaukee and has more than 10 years of results-driven
marketing, research and branding experience.
She is on the board of directors
for the Milwaukee Center for Leadership Development, and is also a member of
the American Marketing Association, Market Research Association, and National
Association of Female Executives. \Wellskopf was nominated for the Milwaukee
Business Journal’s Women of Influence award in 2011, and has received
numerous marketing awards for her work from professional organizations.
