Recent accomplishments of Stritch faculty members:

Dr. Jennifer Fontanini, Linda Carpenter, and Dr. Linda Neiman, of the College of Education and Leadership, presented “Orchestrating Student Voices to Build a Community of Learners" at the national annual conference for ASCD (Association of Supervision and Curriculum Development) in Chicago, Illinois on March 18. 

Mark Gesner, chair of community engaged learning and leadership in the College of Business and Management, moderated the panel “Linking Civic Engagement and Social Entrepreneurship” at the Wisconsin Campus Compact’s 10th Anniversary Civic Engagement Institute in Madison in March.

Dr. Eun-Joo Kwak, associate professor of piano, judged the Wisconsin Music Teachers Association Madison District Piano Auditions on Sunday, March 24. The auditions took place at the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s Morphy Concert Hall. On Jan. 19, Dr. Kwak also judged the Racine/Kenosha Music Teachers Association Senior Division Piano Competition, held at Carthage College Recital Hall.

Dr. Keith Mann, associate professor and chair of the sociology department, presented a paper titled, "The contemporary labor insurgency: A new old social movement," at the Midwest Sociological Society (MSS) meeting in Chicago, Illinois on March 30.

Elizabeth E. Regimbal, assistant professor in the College of Business and Management, has been selected to serve on ACBSP Board of Reviewers for the Annual Edition Publication 2013. The Annual Edition Research article is titled, "Entrepreneurship Endeavors and Technology." Liz has also been selected to serve on the Review Board for the 2013-14 Joint Conference held in Nashville, Tennessee, May 22-24, 2013 of the Academic Business World International Conference and the International Conference on Learning and Administration in Higher Education.

David Riordan, assistant professor in the English department, was listed among the authors of “Notable Nonrequired Reading” in The Best American Nonrequired Reading 2012, an annual anthology of American writing edited by Dave Eggers and published by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt.
