Stritch’s
Office of Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation (JPIC) is sharing a
professional development opportunity with faculty and staff.
“Deepening Franciscan Identity: Teaching Care
for Creation” is a regional workshop led by Br. Keith Douglass Warner, OFM, of Santa
Clara University. The program will take
place May 9-11 at Silver
Lake College of the Holy Family in Manitowoc.
The workshop, sponsored by the Association of Franciscan Colleges and Universities (AFCU) and the
Franciscan Action Network (FAN), will focus on integration of Franciscan values into university courses and programs.
Faculty and staff from all academic departments or campus programs with
an interest in Franciscan care for creation are invited to participate.
Resources will be available for individuals at all stages of familiarity and
expertise in this theme.
Participants are encouraged to use the workshop as an opportunity to develop
syllabi, assignments, community service projects, or campus ministry programs.
Additional information on the workshop and registration requirements can
be found on the Franciscan
Action Network website.
