Men's soccer team to travel to Costa Rica for sport; service

The men’s soccer team is preparing for a trip to Costa Rica next summer.

While in Costa Rica, the team will compete in soccer games/tournaments and participate in a service project. Stritch teams participate in at least two service projects each year, with many teams exceeding that goal.

Stritch community members can support the team and enjoy a meal at the same time.

On Wednesday, May 8, the soccer team will partner with California Pizza Kitchen, located at nearby Bayshore Mall. The restaurant will donate 20% of every check paid in support of the fundraiser. Checks must be accompanied by the official flyer.

A separate group of Stritch students will visit Monteverde, Costa Rica at the end of this month. The volunteers will spend time with local children, work on ecological projects, and learn about environmentally sustainable practices.

Please contact Jennifer Alig, associate director of international education, for additional information on either service immersion trip.
