A Sport Management Roundtable will be held on Monday,
Feb. 18 from 5-7 p.m. in the Sister Camille Kliebhan Conference Center.
The event, sponsored by the Milwaukee Admirals, Milwaukee Bucks, Erin Hills Country Club and Radio Lobo, is free and is open to all Stritch students.
During this event, more than 20 local
sport industry professionals will visit Stritch and share career experience and
advice with students. Each professional will be set up at his/her own table,
and speak with individuals or small groups of students.
Students will be able to learn about new jobs in sports,
ideal skill sets, evolving industry standards, and the experts will discuss the
business and career challenges they have faced and how they solved them.
The professionals represent such roles as management, media
relations, ownership and entrepreneurship, communications, finance, marketing
and promotions, social media, operations, broadcasting, athletics
administration, event management, and ticket sales.
