Wednesday, April 24, 2013 12:00:00 PM

Stritch is building its team for The Capuchin’s Run/Walk for the Hungry, which will take place on July 25.

The Capuchin Ministries include St. Benedict the Moor (St. Ben’s) and House of Peace, organizations with which Stritch maintains close relationships.

Campus Ministry and Enrollment Services have teamed up to help Stritch faculty, staff, and students prepare for the big race. Registered participants will have access to several training programs, as well as an open invitation to participate in a weekly running group.

All registered members of the Stritch team will also receive:

  • A personalized T-shirt
  • Free admission to German Fest
  • $5 food/drink coupon
  • A two-for-one return coupon for German Fest
  • A numbered bib for the run/walk
  • Pre-event activities and training
  • Music, warm-up exercises, and a team photo

To register for Stritch’s team, simply complete the online form.

Last year, the team included more than 50 people. Jon Metz, director of Campus Ministry, hopes that even more faculty, staff, and students will participate this summer.
