Ben Baerbock, director of Financial Aid, announced he will depart Stritch on May 16, and interim plans are in place for the Financial Aid office until a permanent replacement can be named.

Mark Quistorf, who presently serves as system and data analyst in Enrollment Services for the Financial Aid office, will become interim director of Financial Aid, effective May 15.  Quistorf will be responsible for the day-to-day oversight of the office and its functions, including supervision of all direct reports currently assigned to Baerbock.  Quistorf will report directly to Allan Mitchler, vice president of Enrollment Services.

“Mark brings uniquely attractive expertise, gifts, and passion to the interim director position,” Mitchler said. “His demonstrated customer-service philosophy when working with others – including our students – will serve the University well.”

Baerbock has accepted the position of student services specialist at Milwaukee Area Technical College.

“I would like to extend my deepest thanks to Ben for his 14 years of high quality service to Cardinal Stritch University and its students, and we wish him every success in this new chapter in his professional career,” Mitchler said.

The search for a permanent director of Financial Aid is underway.
