Thursday, March 20, 2014 3:25:00 PM

The College of Arts and Sciences will offer six liberal arts courses this summer for current Stritch students as well as others wishing to pick up some elective credits.

The courses will be offered online in an eight-week format, from June 1-Aug. 1. They are available at a reduced tuition rate of $500/credit.

The courses are:

  • ART 141:  Art History Survey
  • CA 108:  Intro to Interpersonal Communication
  • EN 102:  Research Writing
  • HS 202:  Modern Civilization
  • REL 104:  World Religions
  • SPN 102:  Elementary Spanish II

For additional details about each course, please visit www.stritch.edu/schedules.

The courses are an excellent opportunity for current daytime students who would like to work ahead on CORE requirements or need some additional elective courses. Students should contact their advisor for more information. Registration begins on March 31.

The courses are also available to non-Stritch students, such as those who are returning home for the summer and wish to enroll locally to meet general education requirements. The credits earned from these summer classes are highly transferable.

Interested non-Stritch students should contact Kristy Sprung, director of academic and career advising, at (414) 410-4091.

Stritch offers evening and/or accelerated programs year-round in its colleges of Business and Management, Education and Leadership and Nursing. These new offerings are the first general education classes from Arts and Sciences to be offered online.
