Sport Management Symposium to be held April 4

Stritch will host a sport management symposium on Friday, April 4. The event will run from 9 a.m. -2 p.m. in the Sister Camille Kliebhan Conference Center.

The symposium, “Selling a Product, Selling a Team, Selling Yourself,” will feature keynote speaker Dr. William Sutton, Street & Smith’s SportsBusiness Journal contributor and consultant to the NHL and NBA.  

Other featured speakers will include Carl Manteau, director of group sales for the Milwaukee Bucks; Michael Beloit from Destination Kohler; Nick Buerger, recreation supervisor for the City of Greenfield; Jake McGhee, general manager for the Kenosha Kingfish Baseball Club; Charlie Silverberg, sales representative for New Balance; and Nathan Jaeckles, retail merchandising assistant for the Milwaukee Brewers.

The event is hosted by the sport science and management department and is open to all interested individuals. Whether you are just beginning your career or want to learn how to enhance your professional profile, the symposium will accommodate all levels of experience.

Alumni, students, faculty and staff are invited to participate.

The registration fee includes the symposium and lunch. Stritch alumni, students, faculty and staff will receive a discounted registration fee of $10. General admission will cost $25.
