$5 for all tickets

Lockhart Cobblestone is a kind shoemaker with a gentle heart yet little money. Despite his problems, the generous man helps an old beggar woman by giving her his last pair of shoes. Through the help of five enduring elves, the shoemaker makes the most incredible shoes the town of Clankbottom has ever seen. This charming version is filled with silly characters and delightful tunes including “We Love to Dance,” and the toe tapping “Shoes.”

The Spitfire Grill
by James Valcq and Fred Alley
April 4, 5, 11, 12 at 7:30 p.m.
April 6, 13 at 2 p.m.
Nancy Kendall Theater
$12 for adults, $10 for seniors, alumni, faculty and staff, and $6 for students

Based on the 1996 movie of the same name, this soulful musical follows a feisty parolee to a small town in Wisconsin where she finds herself working at Hannah’s Spitfire Grill. Although the restaurant is for sale, there are no takers. Newcomer Percy suggests Hannah raffle it off. Soon, mail is arriving by the wheelbarrow full, and things are cooking at the Spitfire Grill.
