State of the City 2017

In his 2017 State of the City Address, Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett thanked Cardinal Stritch University and Dr. Kelly Dries, '03, '14, dean of the Ruth S. Coleman College of Nursing and Health Sciences, for co-founding the Healthy Kids Collaborative.

The new initiative integrates nursing student clinical experiences into Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS) and Milwaukee Health Department (MHD) nursing services. The Healthy Kids Collaborative addresses the MPS need for additional nursing staff, as well as the clinical experience required for Stritch nursing students .

Cardinal Stritch University nursing administration, faculty and students, as well as advancement staff, attended the State of the City address on March 6, 2017.
