Your gift supports student success

Education is the pathway to transformation.

Annual FundThis foundational belief ignited the passion of the Sisters of St. Francis of Assisi more than 80 years ago when they founded Cardinal Stritch University.

For the Sisters, access to higher education is the right of every person. But their commitment to students doesn’t end with access. They built an educational model at Stritch that supports student success through every step of the journey by creating a caring community of learners.

Today, Stritch continues to change lives through degree programs that help students learn new skills and knowledge, gain career-ready experience, build professional networks, expand their world view and develop a deeper sense of who they are. And we can't do it without your help.

The Stritch Annual Fund turns individual gifts of all sizes into a pool of support for our highest priorities and most essential initiatives. Unrestricted gifts provide Stritch with the greatest flexibility to direct funds to areas of the University that need them the most.

These gifts play a critical role in keeping a Stritch education affordable for our talented and motivated students and support student success initiatives like:

  • Leadership, Development Reflection and Service Initiative (LDRS), a learning community designed to address the obstacles faced by incoming traditional undergraduate students with low income, student of color or first generation profiles.  Our LDRS retention statistics demonstrate the power of this program:  retention of LDRS students was 80% last school year, compared to 74% for all first year traditional undergraduates.

  • My Brother’s Keeper, a new initiative born out of the doctoral research of a faculty member, is a learning community of undergraduate men of color of all ages who engage in group service, are paired with mentors (also men of color) in their anticipated career field, gain access to additional support resources, and participate in special events.

Want to double the impact of your gift at no additional cost? Many companies offer a “match” on employees’ charitable contributions.

For example, if you make a gift to the Stritch Annual Fund in the amount of $25 and your employer matches it, Stritch receives $50 to support faculty and students. Inquire with your company’s human resources department to learn more.
