Stritch unveils new site in Madison

After 13 years in its current Madison locations, Stritch will move its classroom and office site into a new business community in the High Crossing Center. The move will take place over Labor Day weekend, and classes will be held at the new location beginning on Tuesday, Sept. 3.

The relocation will bring students from the College of Business and Management and the College of Education and Leadership to a primary site on the city’s east side. Students from the three current Madison locations will come together at the new facility.

“The new site is in an exemplary office complex that is newer, better maintained, and more functional than the current site,” said Dr. James Loftus, Stritch president.  “It is an attractive location that offers a very professional setting that will bring together students from two of our four extraordinary colleges.”

The decision to relocate came after months of careful study and negotiation. Several considerations drove this decision, including the following.

The new location:

  • occupies the entire third floor and part of the fifth floor. The third floor has a student computer lab, renovated lounge and vending area, and conference rooms. The fifth floor has four additional classrooms.
  • will provide a state-of-the-art computer lab and classroom technology.
  • has easy access to Interstate 90/94/39 and East Washington Avenue.
  • is directly across from an upscale regional shopping center with a wide range of dining choices and other amenities for students.

The Madison staff will continue to coordinate the details of the relocation over the next few months and will meet with each cohort in August to answer questions and discuss details.

Additional information, including plans for a grand opening celebration in October, will be shared in the weeks ahead.
