Northwestern Mutual Art Gallery announces fall exhibitions

The Northwestern Mutual Art Gallery’s fall schedule will include “Everyday Mysteries” and a special exhibition of faculty art.

Everyday Mysteries

featuring Emily Belknap, Grant Gill, and Jon Horvath and Kyle Seis
Opening night: Friday, Aug. 22 from 5 -7 p.m.

Everyday Mysteries, the first exhibition of the 2014 -15 season, brings together three photographers and a sculptor who each explore the inexplicable recesses of the unknown. Emily Belknap, Grant Gill, and the collaborative team of Jon Horvath and Kyle Seis will transform the Northwestern Mutual Art Gallery into a meditation on deeper truths of life.

On Thursday, Oct. 9, Belknap will present an overview of her previous work and artistic practice. The free event will begin at 2:45 p.m. and is open to the public.

The exhibition will be on display until Oct. 12.

 

Faculty Exhibition

featuring Tim Abler, Emily Belknap, Bryan Cera, Maureen Chavez-Kruger, Kat Hustedde, Shana McCaw, Sarah Nitschke, and Steve Sellars
Opening night: Friday, Oct. 24 from 5 -7 p.m.

The faculty exhibition will highlight a multidisciplinary mix of artists/educators. The show will feature painting, photography, sculpture, and design.

The exhibition will be on display until Jan. 4, 2015.

Admission to the Northwestern Mutual Art Gallery is free. From Aug. 22 –Dec. 8, gallery hours are noon –4 p.m., Monday through Saturday. The gallery is closed on Sundays.
