Just Act

Just Act is a philanthropic advisory firm that works collaboratively with individuals, families, organizations, and foundations to create strategic, engaging, creative, and smart solutions for their communities.

Services include:Strategy development, implementation, and support; event and campaign management; fundraising strategy and support; and branding and communications strategy.

For the holiday season, families and individuals can purchase hours with Just Act to help their love ones develop their philanthropic endeavors. For example, a client may be interested in providing free access to books to children in a specific neighborhood, so Just Act will help identify the best strategies to implement this idea. Most packages are project or consultation based.

Packages are as follows, but can be adjusted according to needs:

  • Family Give Back Day! (Strategy development, implementation, and support – $2,000). This does not include the cost to purchase materials for implementing the project.
  • Creating a Foundation of Giving! (Strategy development, implementation, support and fundraising strategy – $1,500). This is a great gift for family members, looking to create a foundation in their name or family members who need assistance structuring their giving strategies and incorporation.

Digitz

“I remember as a kid, doodling and personalizing my notebooks while in school, so why not personalize your electronics?” Digitz removable stickers – which can be removed and wiped clean with no lasting residue or mark on most surfaces – brings “a little life and a little love” to laptops, cell phones, e-readers, and more. Visit www.digitzstickers.com to see the complete line of stickers. A portion of the proceeds supports the Wisconsin Humane Society, since the idea for Digitz was inspired, in part, by Scoobie the dog.

Avon

“I always remember the Avon lady coming to my house with all kinds of goodies. I couldn’t find an Avon representative in my area, so thought I would give the business a whirl. The company has evolved quite a bit; it’s not your mother’s Avon any more, and their product base has grown as well.”

Product lines include Tiny Tillia, Mark, and Avon products in makeup, clothes, hair products, and kitchen accessories. Located in the Rochester, Minn., area, alumna Jennifer Rahlf encourages people near and far to visit her online store at www.youravon.com/jrahlf. Free shipping offers make it possible for her to provide products to clients in many locations. Sign up for free email notifications to learn about specials.
