Service Description

What is a research assignment?

A research assignment is any assignment or project that involves research, utilization of resources, and evaluation of resources and/or information literacy skills. 

How to Use this Service

Please help the librarians keep abreast of library-intensive assignments so we can better help your students. 

Stop at the reference desk, give us a call at 414-410-4257, or send an e-mail to reference@stritch.edu.

It is helpful for us to know:

  • The goal of the assignment.
  • Date the assignment is due.
  • Resources to be utilized. Books? Online databases? Internet?
  • Extent you would like librarians to assist your students.
  • A copy of the assignment.

In addition, librarians are always happy to discuss the resources we have available for an assignment. Librarians are also available to assist in designing research specific assignments. Contact the library liaison for your department for any assistance you might need.
